The Check Point Certified Professional Program offers hands-on experience with the Check Point products integral to your security solution. With certified Check Point professionals in-house, you will be better able to maximize your investment in Check Point based security solutions.

Allstream offers three hands-on courses for IT professionals interested in learning how to properly manage the Check Point Product Suite. CCSA NGX Management I.I, CCSE NGX Management II.I, and CCSE+ NGX Management III.I, prepare students for three Check Point Certification Levels; Check Point-Certified Security Administrator (CCSA), Check Point-Certified Security Expert (CCSE), and Check Point-Certified Security Expert Plus (CCSE+), respectively. All courses are delivered on Check Point SecurePlatform, but platform customization is possible, and include several standard and custom labs.

CCSA NGX Management I.I:

Pre-requisites: Knowledge of TCP/IP concepts

A three-day course designed to ground the IT Professional in Check Point's current generation product suite. Following the course, students will have the knowledge and hands-on experience to challenge the Check Point Certified Administrator (CCSA-NGX) certification exam. Course content includes instructor-led lecture, discussion and extensive hands-on labwork. Topics covered include:

• NGX Overview/Software Architecture
• Security Policy Design
• Configuring Network Address Translation
• Application and Traffic Monitoring
• Eventia Reporter
• SmartDefense
• Authentication
• LDAP Integration (using Microsoft Active Directory)
• VPN Configuration - IPsec and IKE overview
• Disaster Recovery and Backups

CCSE NGX Management II.I:

Pre-requisites: CCSA NGX Management I.I

A two-day course designed to advance the practical experience of the IT Professional in Check Point's current generation product suite. Following the course, students will have the knowledge and hands-on experience to challenge the Check Point Certified Expert (CCSE-NGX) certification exam. Course content includes instructor-led lecture, discussion and extensive hands-on labwork. Topics covered include:

• Product Deployment and Installation
• NGX Upgrading
• Licensing
• Advanced NGX Management
• Content Security
• Check Point QoS
• Securing VoIP
• ClusterXL (High Availability and Clustering)
• Site-to-site VPN Configuration and Advanced VPN Features
• SecureClient/Policy Server/Remote Access

CCSE+ NGX Management III.I:

Pre-requisites: CCSA NGX Management I.I, and CCSE NGX Management II.I

A three-day course designed to advance the practical experience of the IT Professional in Check Point's current generation product suite. Following the course, students will have the knowledge and hands-on experience to challenge the Check Point Certified Expert Plus (CCSE+ NGX) certification exam. Course content includes instructor-led lecture, discussion and extensive hands-on labwork. Topics covered include:

• General Troubleshooting Methodology, including Installation, Boot Security, SIC/ICA, NAT and Rulebase Issues
• File Management - Using the cpinfo utility, Debugging Logs, and Database File Editing
• Protocol Analyzers - tcpdump, snoop, fw monitor, and Ethereal
• NGX Debugging Tools
• Check Point Command Line Interface
• Security Server Troubleshooting
• VPN Debugging Tools
• Troubleshooting and Debugging SecuRemote/SecureClient
• Advanced VPN Configuration - Route-based VPN, Domain-based VPN, VTI's, Dynamic VPN Routing, Wire Mode
